Introduction

1
Who Are We?

We’re a national community representing psychiatric trainees within Lebanon. We believe passionately that by driving improvements in the quality of training and through supporting and valuing each other, we can improve the quality of care and the lives of people with mental illness.

The Psychiatrists-in-training Committee (PiTC) is a newly established committee in the Lebanese Psychiatric Society (LPS). It aims to gather all residents currently undergoing their training in psychiatry in Lebanon under the umbrella of the LPS.

2
Our Main Objectives

PiTC aims to provide a platform for trainees to meet, share knowledge, and enhance their quality of training. This will occur via:

  1. Contributing to the design of educational activities that target professional development.

  2. Spreading awareness towards mental illness by organizing anti-stigma and educational campaigns.

  3. Developing research-based workshops and spreading information about relevant scientific events to help trainees achieve a better exposure to the field.

3
